❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love an easy breakfast recipe and this is just that! Simple to make and great for a weekend morning, as you can assemble it the night before. This is also made in an 8X8 so it’s perfect for just a few people, plus it’s only a handful of ingredients and also versatile.

SWAPS & ADDITIONS

You can easily substitute the pork sausage with turkey sausage for reduced fat and increased protein. You can also switch out the cheese to any your family prefers. We prefer using buttermilk English muffins, but you can also use whole wheat ones or any other type you prefer. Additionally, French bread would also work. Add any spices you like to achieve the desired flavor. We enjoyed it just the way it is.

⭐TIP

If you are a fan of the McGriddle then top this with syrup! It is so good! Some people love it with ketchup.. but we prefer it sweet.

• 4 English Muffins split in half
• 1/2 lb of cooked pork breakfast sausage (8 ounces)
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 1/4 cup milk I used 2%
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• Cook sausage, drain and set aside.

• Grease an 8X8 baking dish. Take each slice of english muffin and cut into pieces. About 6 pieces a slice.

• Add half of the pieces to the bottom of the baking dish, cover with half of the cooked sausage, and half of the cheese. Repeat with another layer of english muffins, sausage and cheese.

• In a bowl, whisk together, eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Once combined pour over the casserole.

• Cover with plastic wrap and let chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. (You can let sit overnight in the refrigerator.)

• Bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
